This feature asked to Gargron 🙄
One of the reasons that made me remove the custom user agent from the app. Just for avoiding unfair blocks.
Yes, I did know it was far from being perfect but I was happy to exchange with you or seeing your jokes about the UI.
Now, it's harder since I changed my mind about the instance block, at this time, I was sure the app will be banned from the playstore. I was wrong, only the free was removed because it had donation links.
Some developers started to avoid me, some others use this matter to promote their app by boosting hard messages concerning my choice. 2/3

I'm extremely pleased to launch Run Your Own Social: How to run a small social network site for you friends.
This is a guide book to running a small, tight-knit federated social network server. It comes from my year of experience running Friend Camp. It's focused largely on SOCIAL solutions, though it does touch on the technical.
I've tried to keep it technology-neutral, and it should be a pretty easy read for anyone who's been on the fediverse for a while.
@Supes do you know of a directory of free speech fediverse instances? people on gab are apparently setting up accounts on hostile servers like mastodon.social, I want to be able to say "look here for a list of servers with reasonable ToS".
https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/11129 suggests that mastodon software should have a hardcoded block against gab, opened by the same person who aggressively suggests on https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/issues/116 that shared blocklists are dangerous and should not be allowed. 👎
OK. Some people keep rating the app one star because I don't block an instance.
Unfortunately, their lack of comprehension concerning the Fediverse (manipulated by some propaganda) make they think that the app is not safe to use.
You have every tools with the app to avoid interacting with people you don't want to see.
#Mastodon has an annoying problem. I mean, it's not a bug. it's working as intended. but in annoying way.
so when people boost/favourite your toot, you get a notification for it. a separate notification for every single action affecting your post. one of my posts has 158 boosts and 114 favourites. this means 272 notifications. sure, fine to know my post is interesting. but can't the notifications be grouped into a one notification, like on the most of social services?
Twitter is a good example.
This instance is strictly a "free speech" instance. SJWs are welcome but do not expect to be protected here. Personal abuse will not be tolerated, open discussion and hard talk are ok but do not play the man. Anything goes, no censorship ever!
